From 2-4 November 2015 Landia participated in a delegation to South Africa consisting of 45 Danish companies with focus on Energy, Water, Agriculture & Food. The goal was to present, and connect, Danish companies with South African stakeholders within these industries.
The South African Government has ambitious plans for a 34% reduction in CO2 emission by 2020. The plan makes South Africa an attractive market for Danish companies since Denmark is already on the forefront with regards to reducing green house emissions.
The delegation visited the biggest biogas plant in South Africa in Bronkhorstspruit. The biogas plant is built in a joint venture between CombiGas of Denmark and Bosch Projects – a Durban based South African company. The electricity produced at the biogas plant is all sold to the BMW factory. Landia has supplied a number of various products for the biogas plant including GasMix, chopper pumps and mixers.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik took part in the delegation and on the photo he is speaking to the participants in Johannesburg.
